Botulinum Toxin

Intramuscular botulinum toxin injections provide valuable relief for patients suffering from conditions with uncomfortable or painful muscle contractions.  These conditions include cervical (head and neck) dystonia’s, focal arm, and leg spasms from dystonia or from strokes, brain hemorrhages, spinal or traumatic brain injury and multiple sclerosis, facial or eyelid spasms.   These injections can also provide relief for patients with uncontrollable salivation.   We also frequently inject along the scalp for migraine prevention.   We have utilized all different types of botulinum toxin, including Botox, Xeomin, Dysport and Myobloc.  We utilize electromyography (EMG) guidance for all limb and neck injections.
